Vietnam now has more than 800,000 businesses, most of them are small and medium sized enterprises. The non-state sector plays an important role in the national economy contributing 42% to the GDP and creating 50% of the total jobs.

Vietnam has more than 7 million intellectuals including 400,000 overseas intellectuals.

The dialogue aims to collect contributions of outstanding businesses and intellectuals to make Vietnam a prosperous, developed country by 2045. The Prime Minister also wants to listen to their recommendations to boost economic recovery amid the COVID-19 pandemic and seize opportunities to ensure rapid, sustainable national development.
