During Thursday’s meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training on pending, urgent issues that need to be resolved, Prime Minister Chinh asked the sector to coordinate with relevant agencies to strictly and effectively implement epidemic prevention measures, ensuring safety for students and teachers. At the same time, there must be solutions to fulfill the school year tasks, especially to carefully prepare and organize the upcoming national high school exam.

The Prime Minister asked the ministry to focus on key tasks of state management, including formulating strategies and plans; building institutions, mechanisms, policies, standards, regulations, criteria, and norms; building tools to mobilize resources; developing student-centered educational institutions, and considering school as the foundation and teachers as motivators.

He asked for shifting educational mindset from equipping learners with knowledge to equipping them with comprehensive competence. The Education and Training sector should promote scientific research in universities, said the Prime Minister.
