Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday worked with the Party Committee of Military Zone 9 High Command in Can Tho city.

He applauded the achievements of Military Zone 9, especially in coordinating with nearby provinces and localities to consolidate security and defense to ensure a firm foundation for socio-economic development in the Mekong river delta. He urged the Zone’s Party Committee to uphold Party guidelines and State policies in regard to national construction and defense and raise the soldiers’ ideological and political conscience. The High Command was asked to continue to perform its advisory role, build a strong defensive zone, and reinforce its fighting capacity to meet the tasks set by the Party and State.
