Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attends Vietnam-Russia business forum

(VOVworld)- Visiting Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday night (Vietnam time) attended the Vietnam-Russia business forum in Moscow. Addressing hundreds of business people and investors, Mr. Phuc praised the two countries’ cooperation as Russia is the 17th largest investor in Vietnam with 114 projects worth more than 2 billion USD in such areas as energy, mining, machinery and tourism. Vietnam has 20 projects in Russia worth 2.9 billion USD in oil and gas development and services. He urged for efforts to increase bilateral trade to 10 billion USD by 2020 and improve policies for business development.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Wednesday night attended the opening of the representative office of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) in the Hanoi-Moscow Culture and Trade Center in Moscow. It is the sole Vietnamese bank that has a trade representative there.

Meeting with Vietnamese people including students, the Prime Minister praised their contributions to the homeland and hoped that they will overcome difficulties to stabilise their lives in Russia and continue to contribute to Vietnam’s development, helping to promote the friendship between the two countries.
