Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives HSBC Chairman
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday praised HSBC Vietnam for expanding its investment and establishing partnership with several Vietnamese companies.

At a reception for Mark Tucker, Chairman of the HSBC Group in Hanoi on Wednesday, the Prime Minister spoke highly of HSBC’s commitment to arranging up to USD12 billion of direct and indirect sustainable financing for Vietnam and the corporate sector in Vietnam by 2030.
He expressed his hope that HSBC would help Vietnam effectively use the funding and fulfill its commitments to climate change and sustainable development. The Vietnamese government hopes that HSBC would help Vietnam access international credits for energy transition and low-carbon economic development, promote digital transformation, especially in the banking sector, develop a circular economy and a sharing economy, and provide additional capital to help Vietnam promote a green growth.
HSBC Chairman Mark Tucker said HSBC will continue to work closely and contribute to the development of the Vietnamese market. He expressed his hope that the Prime Minister would direct ministries, agencies and localities to cooperate with HSBC to promote development.
