Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh receives Nebraska governor

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Governor of Nebraska Jim Pillen in Hanoi on Thursday.

In his address, the Prime Minister asked leaders and organizations of Nebraska to strengthen exchanges with Vietnamese localities and better serve as a bridge linking Vietnam and the US.

Mr. Chinh said in the coming time, the two sides need to further cooperation in economics, trade, and investment, especially in agriculture. According to the Vietnamese Prime Minister, the two sides have great potential to enhance cooperation in education, training, science, technology, innovation, banking, climate change, and people-to-people exchanges.

Mr. Chinh asked Nebraska to create conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate into the local community and contribute to the development of Nebraska and the bilateral ties.

Mr. Jim Pillen said Nebraska will support Vietnam in agriculture sector, high-tech livestock production, and technology transfer.

The Nebraska Governor expressed his impression with Vietnam’s commitment and efforts in climate change response saying this is an area of Nebraska's strength and wants to cooperate with Vietnam.
