(VOVworld) -  Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Japan’s visiting Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yukio Edano in Hanoi on Wednesday. Dung said the potential for bilateral cooperation is huge, so both sides need to work together more closely to bring about practical benefits to both. He called on Japan to allow Vietnamese goods access Japanese markets to balance trade, help Vietnam develop its industries, especially support industry and increase official development assistance. Dung also urged for the effective implementation of major projects agreed by both sides such the mining of rare earths, and developing highways and seaports. PM Dung pledged favorable conditions for Japanese businesses if they invest more in Vietnam and step up cooperation in public-private partnership investment. He also expressed his belief that both countries will boost cooperation in politics, diplomacy, defence, security and tourism.
