(VOVworld) – The State Council for Professorship on Monday granted certificates to 57 professors and 514 associate professors at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi.

Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communication and Education Commission, said that these professors and associate professors had qualified due to their competence and scientific research: "Intellectuals play an important role in fulfilling the goal of building a prosperous, civilized and democratic Vietnam. Professors and associate professors are major forces in education who help raise knowledge and can be a force to lift Vietnam out of poverty and develop on a par with other countries as President Ho Chi Minh aspired to".

Professor Tran Dinh Hoa from the Irrigation University was presented with the title of professor for his research into irrigation which won the Ho Chi Minh award.
