The program, implemented by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and the UNFPA, aims to raise community awareness and change attitudes and behaviors toward gender-based violence, particularly sexual abuse against women and girls.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam, UNFPA has helped distribute necessary items for women and girls and information on gender-based violence to vulnerable women and girls in Bac Giang province and Ho Chi Minh City.
UNFPA chief representative in Vietnam, Naomi Kithara, reaffirmed its commitment to helping the Vietnamese government eliminate “all forms of violence against all women and girls", in order to fulfill the 2030 agenda on sustainable development and ensure no one is left behind.
