Program to build rural areas progresses smoothly
Steering Committees for the building of new rural areas have been established from the central to grassroots levels, according to reports delivered at a conference in Hanoi on Sunday to review 1 year of implementing the national target program to build new rural areas. Addressing the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh said that the program will take time and requires close cooperation from authorities and agencies involved. To date, all provinces and cities nationwide have finished assessing the status of rural areas based on standards set in the program.
