Project starts to renovate Him Lam resistance area in former Dien Bien Phu battlefield
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation of Him Lam resistance center and naming streets in Dien Bien Phu city, towards the 70th anniversary of the historic victory of Dien Bien Phu on May 7.

Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Chinh requested the construction units to ensure project quality and progress, especially demonstrate the significance of this historical event and venue, and contribute to educating patriotism, strong will, ingenious military art as well as the arduous sacrifices of the previous generations in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

Also on Wednesday afternoon, the Prime Minister attended a ceremony naming streets, including one in Muong Thanh ward after late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and another in Noong Bua ward after Martyr, Dien Bien Soldier, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Ngoc Bao.
The naming of Dien Bien Phu streets on the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory shows gratitude to great national contributors.
