(VOVworld) – A seminar took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday to review 20 years of relations between Vietnam and the US.

 Le Quang Long, Deputy Director of the municipal Foreign Affairs Office, said the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership, particularly in trade, investment, and education, will likely enjoy more opportunities following the finalization of the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement and the future establishment of Fullbright University Vietnam in the city.

US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius said he hopes the 20-year relations and the TPP formation will consolidate the bilateral ties in all fields, especially in economics and education.

Meeting participants assessed achievements and efforts of both sides in developing the bilateral relations over the past 20 years and put forth solutions to improve future cooperation in economics and education.
