The crowd of mostly young people took part in a protest called "Boum 2". Despite Prime Minister Alexander de Croo's call to comply with COVID-19 epidemic prevention regulations, the protest continued, forcing hundreds of police to deploy to the Bois de la Cambre park to control the situation there. In addition, the police had to mobilize both helicopters and drones to monitor the situation, as well as to constantly remind the crowd about wearing masks and ensuring social distance. Hundreds marched in capitals of Finland and Sweden on Saturday to protest measures taken by the respective governments to stop the spread of coronavirus. A protest in Helsinki drew 300 participants and resulted in about 50 arrests. In Stockholm, 500 to 600 people marched with banners demanding "freedom and truth".
