Public Security Minister calls US Vietnam’s important partner in technological cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -The Government and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam are keen on technology cooperation with developed countries, of which the United States is a very important partner, said Minister of Public Security General To Lam.

Minister To Lam met Professor Thomas J. Vallely, Senior Advisor for Mainland Southeast Asia at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, in Hanoi on Monday.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is very interested in cooperation and professional exchange programs with institutes and research centers of Harvard University.
Cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and US IT businesses can bring significant benefits in improving capacity to prevent and combat cyber threats, developing cyber security measures and enhancing the effectiveness of fighting cybercrime in Vietnam, according to the Minister.
Vallely said Vietnam has many opportunities to develop artificial intelligence (AI) technology infrastructure and expressed his hope that Vietnam and the United States will promote cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.
