Mr. Putin said he wants the upcoming summit to pave the way for a dialogue on security, including deployment of military mechanisms.
The two presidents will meet on Wednesday in Geneva to discuss the prospects of US-Russia ties in controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and resolving regional conflicts. Their meeting will be the first since Mr. Biden took office in January.
