Putin warns NATO against closer ties with Ukraine, Georgia
(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday warned the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) against cultivating closer ties with Ukraine and Georgia, saying such a policy was irresponsible and would pose direct threats to Russia.

President Putin said at a meeting with Russian diplomats in Moscow that Russia will fight against plans of expanding NATO’s military range. He called for a Russia-NATO joint agenda to reach a common stance and rebuild trust.
