Pyongyang-Washington ties primed for breakthrough, North Korea says
(VOVWORLD) -A North Korean propaganda website Meari claimed Sunday that Pyongyang-Washington ties could experience "a major breakthrough," with the second summit between the two countries fast approaching.
Meari cited the progress the two Koreas have made over the past year and said there's no reason North Korea-US relations can't have a major breakthrough like there has been in inter-Korean relations.
Meari said the North is determined to implement the agreement it reached with the US at their first summit last June and has tossed the ball into the American court. The second summit between Kim Jong-un and Donald Trump will take place in Hanoi from Feb. 27 to 28.
