Qatar rejects Gulf countries' demands
(VOVWORLD) - Qatar is ready to discuss legitimate issues with Arabian states to put an end to the current crisis but will not be able to meet some of their demands, the Qatari Foreign Minister said in a statement on Thursday.
Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Thani stressed that Qatar is deeply interested in negotiating legitimate issues with some of the Gulf countries but cannot sever links with the so-called Islamic State, al-Qaeda and the Hezbollah because no such links exist. The statement also said that Qatar cannot repel any members of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as demanded by the boycotting Arab countries because there are none in Qatar.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt sent Qatar a list of 13 demands including closing the state-founded Al-Jazeera TV station and reducing ties with Iran. The deadline for Doha to comply is expected to expire on Sunday.
