Mr. Phuc made the remark at the 2018 Quang Binh Investment Promotion Conference which opened in the province on Monday under the theme “Cooperation and Sustainable Development”. Such natural wonders of Quang Binh, like Son Doong cave, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, and Hon La Bay, have made the province a popular destination of many travelers in Asia.

"Infrastructure development and growth often go hand in hand. In a place endowed with many natural wonders like Quang Binh, much attention should be given to infrastructure development in order to boost growth. Dong Hoi Airport should be developed into an international airport in accordance with Vietnam’s open aviation policies, enabling the application of electronic visas for foreign visitors. These are pivotal conditions for the development of Vietnam’s tourism, not just that of Quang Binh province. The later we start the plan, the more opportunities we’ll miss," said Mr. Phuc.
