(VOVWORLD) - Quang Binh province welcomed more than 40,000 visitors during the New Year holiday, a surge of 20 percent. 5,000 foreigners spent the holiday in the province, up 30 percent from last year.

The most popular destinations are Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Chay River-Dark Cave, and Eight Ladies Cave, located within in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Phong Nha-Ke Bang, and General Vo Nguyen Giap’s grave in Vung Chua-Dao Yen.
Visitors also attended puppet shows, outdoor circus performances, and a countdown party.
The province is aiming for 4.3 million visitors and 200 million USD in tourism revenue in 2019.
