(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh province in northern Vietnam will begin vaccinating children aged 12-17 against COVID-19 this Saturday in all localities.

This move, using the Pfizer vaccine, will realize Quang Ninh’s goal to fully vaccinate everyone over 12 to reach herd immunity in November.
95% of local children aged 12-17 are eligible to get two shots. 3,600 medical workers in Quang Ninh province have been trained to administer inoculations at hospitals, health care centers, and communal health clinics.
