Quang Ninh to participate in global sailing race
(VOVWORLD) - Quang Ninh province has signed a cooperation agreement with Clipper Ventures cementing its participation in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2019-2020 and its hosting of the 2021-2022 race.

According to the agreement, Quang Ninh will officially become a team partner of the 2019-2020 race and have a team named “Ha Long Bay – Vietam” taking part in the global event.
CEO of Clipper Ventures William Ward said that Ha Long Bay is different from anywhere else in the world and that his company will enhance the global promotion of the Bay, recognized as a world natural heritage site by UNESCO in 1994 and 2000.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has been held for more than 20 years. The 40,000 nautical mile annual adventure takes place over the span of 11 months, bringing about 70 clippers to famous cities in 200 countries around the world. At each stop, the sailors are berthed for 10 days to discover the local culture, take sight-seeing tours, and play sporting games with local residents.
