Specifically, the money will be used to build or upgrade kitchens at boarding kindergartens and primary schools and build or repair houses for disadvantaged people with priority given to poor fishing households.

"We hope this program will reach every person both inside and outside Vietnam so that the Humanitarian Month will truly become a peak period of humanitarianism for the entire nation,” said Bui Thi Hoa, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society.
