Regional connectivity cemented to develop East-West economic link
Cooperation to develop the East-West Economic Axis linking Vietnam, Laos and Thailand was the main topic of a conference held in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum yesterday (Wednesday). Delegates discussed cooperation projects in tourism, agricultural production, forest preservation, energy development and personnel training. Chairman of the Kon Tum provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Hung said that effective cooperation and connectivity will help bring the potential and advantages of each country into full play. “Close cooperation will enable us to create a wide range of products in various fields. We should reach a consensus on cooperative mechanisms at the grassroots level, which will serve as a basis to realize more ambitious plans,” he said.
