(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Tran Tuan Anh presented a report to clarify the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to the National Assembly on Wednesday afternoon.
Once the EVFTA comes into effect, it will help businesses find markets, expand production and trading, and speed up development.
To maximize the opportunities and minimize the risks brought by the EVFTA, Minister Tuan Anh called for the completion of three important tasks – building laws, creating action plans, and increasing communications and disseminating the agreement. To date, the tasks have fundamentally been completed.
Minister Tuan Anh said: “Promulgated by the Prime Minister, the government’s action plan is the responsibility and duty that we have agreed and now submit to the National Assembly for approval. The action plan is also the foundation for the EU to coordinate with Vietnam to enforce and oversee the implementation of this agreement.”
