Chairing an online meeting with the Ministry of Transport on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Thanh said, “A pilot program will be implemented nationwide. We must be very cautious to remove business difficulties and to control the pandemic. On that basis, the general requirement is that we must have a smooth, uniform coordination from top to bottom, from the central level to the localities. If we do not organize well, disease can still spread.”
At the meeting, the Ministry of Transport presented a pilot plan and temporary regulations on regular domestic passenger routes to ensure safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Flights will be piloted in 10 days from Sunday to the end of October 20, which is expected to include 10 round-trip flights from Ho Chi Minh City to localities, six round-trip flights from Hanoi, four flights from Da Nang and three flights from Thanh Hoa.
