RoK calls for Vietnam’s support in joining CPTPP
(VOVWORLD) - Minister for Trade of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy Yeo Han-koo has asked Vietnam to support the RoK in joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

During an online meeting on Wednesday with Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh, Yeo praised the close economic ties between the RoK and Vietnam. The two men compared notes on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF), which the US is pushing in an effort to expand economic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
They said relations within the IPEF should be based on open, transparent, and inclusive standards.
