(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has received medical supplies donated by the Republic of Korea to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, at a ceremony to receive 80,000 medical masks from Korea’s Gangwon province, Tran Phuoc Anh, Director of Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Foreign Affairs, thanked them for their assistance to HCM City and other southern provinces.
He said 35,000 of the masks will be given to the Departments of Foreign Affairs of An Giang, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Tay Ninh, and Tien Giang province.
The same day, Vietnam received eight used ambulances plus medical supplies from the Republic of Korea at a ceremony in Yongin city.
The ceremony was organised by the fire police department of North Gyeongsang province, the International Fire Suppression Alliance of the RoK, and the Korea-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Association.
The ambulances will be delivered to Ho Chi Minh City next month.
