(VOVworld) – Delegates from 5 Central Highland provinces and 5 other adjacent provinces met to discuss opportunities and challenges facing the local authorities and businesses during international integration at a conference that opened in Buon Ma Thuot City, the central province of Dac Lak on Thursday.

During the two-day conference entitled “International integration for sustainable development – the roles of localities”, delegates will also present reports on the party and government’s achievements and orientations in external policies, Vietnam’s economy and emerging challenges facing Vietnam once its joins FTAs.
Other topics included Vietnam’s international integration process in the new context and problems arising for localities. Y Dham Enuol, Deputy chairman of Dac Lak provincial People’s Committee, said: "Content discussed at the seminar will help civil servants, officials, and businesses better understand the situation, making it easier to successfully implement the Politburo’s Resolution No. 22 on international integration. The conference is also a good venue for representatives from different provinces to exchange their experiences in international integration."
