(VOVworld) – The Russian mission to the UN Security Council has reminded all parties of Kiev violating the international body’s requests and asked the council to halt military activities in the plane crash site in line with Resolution 2166.

Russia accuses the West of screening Ukraine in hindering MH17 investigation

Russian’s proposal has been rejected by the US, England, and Lithuania. The move showed that the US and its Western allies are covering up for Kiev’s administration in hindering an independent international probe over the downed flight.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday held a phone conversation with his US counterpart John Kerry on asking the UNSC to strictly monitor the implementation of Resolution 2166 to facilitate an independent international investigation in the crash site.
