Russia affirms strategic partnership with Venezuela
(VOVWORLD) - Russia will continue to develop its strategic partnership with Venezuela following President Nicolas Maduro taking office for the second term and will render economic help to Venezuela, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The Ministry said they will continue to consolidate relations of strategic partnership, which are stably developing in all areas of mutual interests shown in recent negotiations between the two leaders. It added that Russia will continue to provide support to Venezuela in overcoming the difficult economic situation.
The Ministry said Washington’s policy of creating alternative government agencies in Venezuela is a violation of the country's sovereignty. The statement came one day after Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s inauguration for a second term until 2025.
