The New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty), signed in 2010, limits the number of strategic nuclear warheads, missiles and bombers that Russia and the United States can deploy.
The New START caps US and Russian strategic nuclear arsenals at 1,550 deployed warheads, 700 deployed missiles and heavy bombers, and 800 deployed and non-deployed missile launchers and bombers.
