(VOVworld) - Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new decree Monday that extends the scope of sanctions against companies operated by Turkish nationals in Russia.

According to the decree, the Russian authorities will ban or restrain Turkish companies and those under the control of Turkish citizens from operating in Russia in order to protect the national interests and security. The decree also places limits on several products imported from Turkey. From January 1, 2016, Russia prohibits charter flights and suspends the visa-free regime and Turkish labor will be banned from working in Russia.
