Russia, North Korea prepare for summit
(VOVWORLD) - South Korean Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul met with Russian Ambassador in Seoul Andrey Kulik on Monday to discuss North Korean issues ahead of the upcoming summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking at a conference in Seoul, Minister Kim said South Korea and Russia have discussed trilateral cooperation between the two Koreas and Russia since they established diplomatic ties.
Ambassador Kulik said Russia is stepping up its efforts to promote the trilateral cooperation, which can bring about economic benefits. He affirmed Russia and South Korea’s common stance in the peace process on the Korean Peninsula and North Korea’s nuclear issue.
