President Trump said Monday that he plans to meet Mr. Putin at the Summit, but Moscow has not received an official proposal from Washington. The Russian President told US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that Russia want to "fully restore" ties with the US.
Russia's Foreign Intelligence (SVR) Director Sergei Naryshkin said he wants Mr. Pompeo to resume contact between the two countries’ security agencies at a higher level. Mr. Naryshkin told reporters that he may also meet CIA Director Gina Haspel.
