(VOVworld) - The Russian permanent representative to NATO, Alexander Grushko, said Tuesday he provided data to NATO proving that Turkey deliberately downed a Russian plane. Grushko noted that NATO was covering up for Ankara without having assessed Turkey’s actions, and was therefore responsible for the incident. Grushko told media on Tuesday that in his talks with NATO’s Deputy Secretary-General Alexander Vershbow, he had laid out the Russian assessment of the incident and cited a series of military and political factors which indicate of the intentional nature of the attack on the Russian plane SU-24, which was in Syrian airspace.
