Vietnamese Trade Counselor to Russia Pham Quang Niem said this decision creates opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to penetrate the Russian market, especially when Vietnam and Russia are enjoying fruitful relations. He added that Vietnamese business strengths lie in the production of fruit, vegetables, meat, and agricultural products. Niem said the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to discuss with Russia food safety and the origins of animal products traded between Vietnam and Russia.
