Russia, Saudi Arabia discuss establishing de-escalation zones in Syria
(VOVWORLD) -Russia and Saudi Arabia discussed on Sunday the establishment of de-escalation zones in Syria. This was revealed during a press conference in Riyadh between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Saudi counterpart Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.

Laurov said Russia supports the Saudi effort to unify the Syrian opposition into one group, but insisted that the Syrians are the ones who must decide the destiny of their country.
Al-Jubeir said the two sides discussed counterterrorism coordination and that Saudi Arabia and Russia are in general agreement about regional issues.
