(VOVworld) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told US Secretary of State John Kerry in a phone conversation on Friday that the Kiev government and eastern Ukraine supporters must strictly observe agreements reached last month in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk.

Mr. Sergei Lavrov said the conflict parties must strictly observe the ceasefire deals, pullback heavy weapons and strengthen OSCE monitoring. Mr. John Kerry called on Russia to use its influence on pro-Russian force asking them to stop attacks and withdraw their troops and weapons from Ukraine. The two sides agreed to maintain close contact and have discussions on issues related to Ukraine crisis.
