Russia warns of World War III
(VOVWORLD) - Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Secretary of Russia's Security Council, said NATO's increased military assistance to Ukraine has brought World War III closer.

Medvedev made the statement Telegram on Tuesday, when the NATO Summit opened and a number of countries pledged more weaponry and financial support for Ukraine.
The same day, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Tuesday urged NATO to promote a ceasefire and peace talks in Ukraine rather than continue to ship weapons to Kiev. He said NATO is supposed to defend member states, “not to carry out military actions on the territory of other countries, urging the bloc to stay true to its official “defensive” mission.
On Tuesday, France's President Emmanuel Macron said France would supply Ukraine with long-range cruise missiles, which can travel 250 km.
Germany committed 700 million euros in military aid to Ukraine which includes two Patriot missile system launchers, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and Leopard 1 tanks as well as artillery rounds.
