Following his talks with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Moscow, Lavrov told reporters that Ukraine is "sabotaging" agreements aimed at ending the conflict between Ukrainian government forces and separatists in eastern Ukraine.

He said Moscow is waiting for Washington’s reply to the security guarantees proposed by Russia before moving ahead with negotiations on Ukraine. These were the focus of Russia’s separate meetings with the US in Geneva, NATO in Brussels, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna.

Minister Baerbock said Germany is ready for a serious dialogue on mutual agreements and steps that will result in more security for everyone in Europe. Germany and Russia will do everything they can to ensure that a Normandy-level meeting will be convened quickly.
