Russian, Chinese leaders to release a joint statement on international relations

(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping are scheduled to adopt a joint statement on international relations in the new era following talks in Beijing.

Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov told journalists on Wednesday that the document will reflect the shared views of Russia and China on the most important global problems, including security issues.
Ushakov said that after the talks, the two Presidents will have lunch together on Friday, and could sign more than 15 agreements. Direct communication will enable them to have a frank and reliable discussion on the most important bilateral and international issues.
In the evening, President Putin will attend the opening ceremony of the 24th Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
