Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said the decision was made to protect Russia’s interests, adding that the US’s unilateral suspension of the treaty has put global security system at risk.
Russian Senator Sergei Tsekov said the Senate will begin to debate the measure next Wednesday.
