Reporting on the visit of VNese President Truong Tan Sang, Russian media, including the ITAR-TASS and RIA-Novosti news agencies, the “Russia State” TV Channel, and “Channel One”, praised the effective co-operation between Vietnam and Russia. They quoted PM Medvedev as saying that the visit of President Sang is of special significance to bilateral ties. Medvedev said the two countries’ co-operation in trade and humanitarian activities is very effective and Vietnam and Russia have established a regular dialogue on all issues. He also noted with satisfaction the positive development of Vietnam-Russia trade ties with whose value hit US$3 billion in 2011.

On this occasion, the Kremlin press service issued a press release highlighting the all-faceted co-operation results between Russia and Vietnam, especially in education and tourism.
