(VOvworld) - Russian police have rescued 20 students who were taken hostage at a high school on the outskirts of Moscow on Monday.

A police spokeswoman said a man entered the school with a rifle and shot dead a teacher. He kept 20 students hostage before shooting dead a policeman. The Russian Interior Ministry said the hostage-taker was detained during a police raid and that all the students left the building safe and unharmed.
