At a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang in Hanoi on Monday, Choi said Samsung will continue to invest an additional 1 billion USD each year in Vietnam. He added Samsung will look at possibilities to expand cooperation with the National Innovation Center (NIC) and help Vietnam with training human resources in the semiconductor industry. Vietnam's development is Samsung's development, Choi said.
Deputy PM Quang applauded Samsung's investment activities in Vietnam, which he said positively contribute to import-export turnover and economic development of Vietnam. He pledged favorable conditions for foreign enterprises to operate long-term production and business activities in the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister proposed that Samsung continue to cooperate with the National Innovation Center and support Vietnam to achieve the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.
