(VOVworld) – On Sunday Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir accused Iran of intervening in Arab countries’ internal affairs and undermining regional security. His accusation was made at an emergency meeting of the Arab League in Cairo which sought solutions to recent tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Arab foreign ministers called on Iran to stop its interference.

The same day, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Riyadh is using the row with Tehran to "negatively affect" peace talks on Syria, adding that Iran will not let that happen.
