Schooling opportunity for poor students
(VOVworld) – On Thursday the Vietnam Children Protection Fund, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, and the Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation signed an agreement to provide bicycles and scholarships for disadvantaged students. In 2016 the Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation will give 1,500 bicycles and 1,500 book bags worth 150,000 USD to poor students through the Vietnam Children Protection Fund. In her address, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs Dao Hong Lan said:
“The Vietnam Children Protection Fund and the Bao Viet Life Insurance Corporation have been cooperating for 12 years in helping disadvantaged students attend school. We are a partner of the Bao Viet corporation and we pledge their support will reach the children promptly.”
Since its foundation the Vietnam Children Protection Fund has raised 250 million USD to help more than 30 million disadvantaged children.
