SEA Games 32: Vietnam hits 50-gold mark
(VOVWORLD) -Wednesday, the 5th official competition day of the Southeast Asian Games, witnessed Vietnam winning an incredible 50th gold medal and leading the medal table with 3 golds ahead of host Cambodia and 5 golds ahead of Thailand.

Swimmer Pham Thanh Bao earned gold in the men's 200 meter breaststroke and set a SEA Games record of 2 minutes 11 seconds 45.
The Vietnamese track and field team bagged another gold when Huynh Thi My Tien finished first in the 100m hurdles in 13.50 seconds.
Kun Khmer continued to bring gold to Vietnamese athletes who competed in 7 finals and won 3 gold medals.
Pencak Silat fighter Nguyen Duy Tien defeated the Singaporean opponent with a score of 46-43 in the men's 80kg weight category, winning another gold medal for the Pencak Silat team, who has already achieved their target of 3 gold medals.
Wednesday marked the first time at the SEA Games arena that Vietnam won gold in golf. After 3 days of competition, golfer Le Khanh Hung, just 15 years old, seized the gold medal in men's singles.
