(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s seafood export turnover in 2014 is likely to reach 7.9 billion USD, an increase of 18 percent compared to last year.

This was attributable to Vietnam’s success to maintain strong growth of key seafood export products such shrimp and catfish. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Vu Van Tam said with this achievement, Vietnam’s seafood export is expected to earn 8 billion USD in 2015, which is equivalent to the figure targeted in Vietnam’s development strategy for the seafood sector until 2020.
